Circulation

Purpose The Circulation department maintains the library's 800,000+ volumes that are allowed to be checked out of the McWherter Library. Your University of Memphis ID, college ID or special priivleges card is your only means of checkout or inquiry; you should have it with you at all times. You will receive an email reminder 1 day after your material is due and 10 days later when it is overdue. You have a 9 days grace period where there are no fines applied until the 10th day. In addition to handling checkouts, renewals and returns, the department also processes special privilege applications for high school, alumni, citizen and area college users. The Circulation department holds InterLibrary Loan material (books, articles, viedos, microfilms, etc.) for pickup. PLEASE NOTE: Items may be checked out until 15 minutes before closing.
