William Bearden Makes Photographic Gift to U of M Libraries

Acclaimed Memphis author and filmmaker William Bearden will present a gift of more than 1,000 digital photographs of Memphis’ Victorian Village to the University Libraries.

McWherter Library will feature three displays apropos of the recent award of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks, long time civil rights leader, human rights activist, educator, and founder of the Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change at the University of Memphis.
