Robert Dye will be speaking on two of his books: Memphis: Then and Now and The Mid-South Fair: Celebrating 150 Years. The talk will be accompanied with images of Memphis and the fairgrounds from the year 1890 to present.
Robert Dye is the author of Memphis: Then and Now, 2005, Shelby County, 2005 and The Mid-South Fair: Celebrating 150 Years, 2006. His photography and works as photo editor are Memphis Innovations, Richard Raichelson, 2005, Dewey and Elvis, Louis Cantor, 2003, Follow The Green Mile, Dr. William King, FOP- An American Detective (The Life of John Foppiano), Dr. William King, Collierville, Main Street Collierville 2006 and the WKNO Memphis Memoirs Series.
His Museum Work as photo archivist and installer are the Memphis Wonders: Eternal Egypt, Czars of Russia, The Medici, Tunica Riverpark Museum, Memphis Rock N Soul Museum, Downeast Heritage Center- Calais, Maine, 150 Years of the Mid-South Fair- 2006 Mid-South Fair Exhibit, Memphis Cotton Museum. Mr. Dye is a member of the West Tennessee Historical Society, the Bartlett Historical Society, the Davies Manor Association-Board, The Shelby County Historical Commission and Chairman of the Mid-South Fair Historical Committee.
