Rodney Blain was educated in Utah, receiving a B.A. in History and German and M. Ed. from Weber State University. He taught in the Church Educational System of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for twenty-four years, the last eight years serving in Memphis as the Institute of Religion director and coordinator of seminaries and institutes in the Mid-South area.
In 2005, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Prophet Joseph Smith’s birth. Some have described Joseph Smith as one of, if not the most influential American to have ever lived. His life, influence and mission as the founder of the Church will be discussed. Do not miss this most interesting presentation on a vital chapter in the history of religion in America.
