DR. BENJAMIN FISHER

Dr. Fisher is an Edgar Allan Poe and British Victorian Literature Scholar. As this year's President of the South Central Modern Language Association, meeting in New Orleans October 28-30, he delivered the Presidential Address and was the featured speaker at The South Central College English Association Breakfast. In addition, he presented a paper on late Victorian Gothic writers in the "Gothic Confluences: There and Then" Session. He was the winner of the Mississippi Humanities Council Teacher of the Year Award for 2000, and of the 2004 Outstanding Teacher for the College of Liberal Arts at Ole Miss.
