Display Policy
|
The University of Memphis Libraries will, from time to time, set up displays and exhibits
in support of the educational mission of the University Libraries. These displays and
exhibits will showcase the holdings and activities of the Libraries, or commemorate
important events or persons in the life of the Libraries, The University and the region.
Displays and exhibits from outside the University Libraries will not be allowed. This
policy applies to all divisions of the University Libraries, i.e. McWherter Library and its
branches.
The Special Collections Department will maintain the displays and will set up the
majority of the displays and exhibits, but other library departments are welcome to
propose and devise appropriate displays. The display window on the fourth floor of The
McWherter Library (outside the entrance to the Special Collections Department) will be
the normal location of such displays, augmented by two free-standing cases that are
located in the west reading area of the second floor of the McWherter Library.
Displays and exhibits in the University Libraries will normally be advertised by way of
flyers and/or Daily Helmsman advertisements/features.
