Ask a Librarian

Have a reference question? Ask it online and receive a response at your email address. Questions should be stated clearly and should lend themselves to short answers. This service operates during weekdays only. Questions submitted after 4 p.m. on Friday will be read the following Monday.

This service is primarily for University of Memphis students, faculty, and staff. If you are not affiliated with the University of Memphis, we will answer questions about the University Libraries or collections.

Request-a-Librarian
Faculty members wanting a librarian to help with RODP classes can request the service through this link, Web Class Librarian.

Telephone
Call the Research and Information Services desk at (901)678-2208

For in depth, one-on-one assistance from a reference librarian, consider scheduling a Reference Consultation.

Individual conferences provide an opportunity to discuss research and information needs. If you would like to schedule a time to meet with a reference librarian, send an email with your preferred date and time to Joyce McKibben. A reference librarian will then schedule a conference by either phone or E-mail. Send requests to mckibben@memphis.edu
