Facilities

Audio and Video Equipment

The Music Library has listening stations equipped for playing CD's, LP's, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, and DVD's. No copying is permitted with any of the equipment. Most recordings do circulate, with varying checkout guidelines for different classes of borrowers.

Computers

There are four public PC's, all of which have complete catalog and Internet access. There is no word processing capability on the computers, but there are several computer labs on campus for student use.

Printing and Copying

There is a self-service photocopier in the library, operated only with cards rather than cash. Click here for information about costs and procedures.

Microfilm and microfiche printers are located in McWherter Library in the Periodicals/AV Department on the second floor. Any film or fiche to be copied may be checked out of the Music Library to take to McWherter for that purpose.

There are no public printers in the Music Library, but information can be downloaded to a floppy disk, emailed to a personal account, or saved on the UM Drive for printing at McWherter Library or in one of the computer labs on campus.
