Hinson, Maurice.  Guide to Piano Repertoire  (Shelved in Ready Reference)
Probably the most helpful single book in the library for pianists.  Extensive listing of piano repertoire,  with limited biographical data on composers and discussions of varied editions for major composers.  Helpful indexes, appendix, bibliography, and publisher list.

• Edel, Theodore.  Piano Music for One Hand.  (REF ML128.P3 E3 1994)  Works listing similar to Hinson’s style, but includes arrangements and transcriptions.  Informative chapters on the literature and  major artists associated with its development.
• Friskin, James and Irwin Freundlich.  Music for the Piano.  (REF ML128.P3 F7)  Coverage to 1952.  Selective listings.  Annotations are both descriptive and evaluative of level of difficulty and musical merit.
• Hinson, Maurice.  Music for Piano and Orchestra.  (REF ML128.P3 H53)  Style and format same as Hinson above.
• Hinson, Maurice.  The Pianist's Bookshelf: A Practical Guide to Books, Videos, and Other Resources. (REF ML128.P3 H534 1998)
• McGrath, Jane.  The Pianist's Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literture.           (REF ML128.P3 M33x 1995)
• Phemister, William.  American Piano Concertos.  (REF ML128.P3 P5 1985)  In addition to the usual publisher, date and key data, includes titles of movements, orchestra requirements, duration, and premiere information.

Piano and Keyboard - bimonthly.  (Continues Piano Quarterly - began with Jan./Feb. 1993.)
Both Clavier and Piano and Keyboard feature interviews with artists, articles on many aspects of pianos and piano playing, reviews of newly published music and recordings, and competition information.
Keyboard - monthly.  Geared toward rock/pop, current keyboard technology.
