When searching by subject, use valid Library of Congress Subject Headings such as women--research or abused women or women artists. (LC Subject Headings volumes are available in Reference.)

You can also try searching by keywords; e.g. women military or women alcohol. (Leave out words like in, of, on, and the; AND is assumed between words).

Find videotapes by using videorecording as a keyword; e.g., women videorecording

Find U of M (or Memphis State) theses (master and doctoral) by using keywords; e.g., memphis thesis women

Copy the call number from the catalog record to find the book. (See How to Find Books.)

Provides full text access to articles in 1500 journals, newsletters, research reports and fact sheets containing information on women in over 150 counrtries.

Citations of journal articles, books, theses, curriculi, conference papers, and standards, and guidelines having to do with education.
Fact Search (1984 - ) [UM Only]
A guide to statistical statements on current social, economic, political, environmental and health issues, derived from some newspapers, periodicals, newsletter and documents such as the Christian Science Monitor, the Congressional Record, Congressional hearings, Daily Press Briefings of the White House, State Department and Department of Defense, and Australian, British and Canadian Parliamentary Debates. Publications related to women's studies issued by federal and Tennessee state agencies are available online and in the Government Publications Department on the first floor of McWherter Library.
