Government information on a single topic can come from dozens of different agencies. There may be no limit on the number of agencies involved in producing information on, for example, consumer recalls. The federal government has made an effort to create these single subject cross-agency portals or gateways to bring together this information at one location on the Web. Listed below are some of these single word or topic gateways.

After School
Information to help you understand the issues that face kids and teens or fund, start and operate an after school program. Easy to use categories offer dozens of websites on running a program and planning activities.

Aging Stats
A cumulation of statistics on the economics, health, and demographics of the aging population from dozens of government agencies in one place.

Bioethics
The President's Council advises him on bioethical issues that may emerge as a consequence of advances in biomedical science and technology.

Business
Over 40 different Federal agencies assist or regulate businesses. Business.gov provides a one-stop, common access point for Federal Government services and information needed to assist with starting, running, and growing a business.

Cancer
The official site of the National Cancer Institute which contains information on all aspects of this disease.

Census
Official site of the U.S. Census Bureau

Child Care
Find federal funding sources, safety alerts, best practices on child care.

Child Stats
Federal and state statistics and reports on children and their families, including: population and family characteristics, economic security, health, behavior and social environment,and education.

Climate
Climate information and services provided from nine different agencies.

Clinical Trials
This site links patients with ongoing medical clinical trials. It provides information on federally and privately supported clinical research in human volunteers.

College Students
A comprehensive information guide providing answers to your questions on education, career, financial aid, military and voluntary service and more.

Consumer Information
A broad range of information on food, health, safety, money, transportation, and scams.

Everything you wanted to know about copyright law including forms

Disability Information
This site provides access to disability-related information and programs available across the government on numerous subjects, including civil rights, community life, education, employment, housing, health, income support, technology and transportation.

Diaster Help
This site provides disaster assistance information and services by creating a single Internet-based portal to serve the public’s requirement for assistance.

Earth Science
The Earth Sciences Portal is a searchable links directory that spans all the web-based information of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Earth-Sun Exploration Division.

Economy
This site, STAT-USA, provides the U.S. business, economic and trade community authoritative information from the Federal government. Log-In required.

E-commerce
This public site provides general information about consumer protection in all countries that belong to the ICPEN (International Consumer Protection Enforcement Network). All information is available in English, French, German, and Spanish.

Emergency Prepardedness see Ready.gov

Employment
This is the place for employment in the U.S. government. In Spanish and English, this site provides descriptions of job openings and forms. Space is provided for resumes.

Exports
Export.gov provides online trade resources and one-on-one assistance for your international business – whether you’re just starting or expanding your global sales.

Telework
Telework provides access to information for employees who think they might like to telecommute (or are already doing so), for managers and supervisors who supervise teleworkers, and for agency telework coordinators.

Time
This public service is provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the U. S. Naval Observatory (USNO). Readings from the clocks contribute to world time, called Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The time maintained by both agencies should never differ by more than 0.000 0001 seconds from UTC.

Usability
Usability.gov is a resource for the design and accessability of websites.

Weather
