Services for Users with Special Needs

An Adaptive Technology Lab is housed in the Reference Department of McWherter Library. The Lab is staffed by Student Disability Services. In order to use the lab, you will need to register with Student Disability Services, 110 Wilder Tower, 901-678-3070 or V/TTY 901-678-2880. Staff in SDS will train you on the equipment you will be using.

The Reference Department offers consultation services for assistance with research needs. Contact the Reference Department at 901-678-2208 or submit a request online through Ask a Librarian.

If you need assistance with retrieving books from the library stacks, personnel from the Circulation Department will bring books to the Circulation Desk and hold them for you. Immediate assistance may not be possible, depending on staffing. For further assistance, contact Student Disability Services, 110 Wilder Tower, 901-678-3070 or V/TTY 901-678-2880.
